I have wanted to run for a long time, but I was overweight and way out of shape. I took a leap of faith and tried None to Run and I am so so glad I did! The intervals are small and build gradually, plus the easy strength workouts are amazing as well. I remember when running 30 seconds felt like a lifetime and now I can run 3 miles without stopping. This app allowed me to become a runner and fall in love with the sport. Thank you None to Run!!
I have done several 5K running programs over the years, and I always had to take time off due to injuries. Currently I’m 8 weeks in without any breaks due to injuries. I’m also closer than I ever have been to running 5K without having to take tons of walk breaks. It’s a wonderful program, and I thank Coach Mark for it!
So excited to find this program. I’m in my 50’s thought my health didn’t allow me to run. But N2R taught me I could take my time build up at my pace, in my time. And now I’m well on my way of not only running 5ks regularly but dropping my time. I’m so grateful for this program.
I just completed the None to Run plan and loved how truly beginner-friendly it was! The ramp up is slower than other plans targeted at beginners and for that reason it actually is do-able for just about anyone. I’m now onto the 5k race plan and am loving my running journey. My advice is: just get started! Even if it seems daunting, you will surprise yourself and feel great!
Love this app. A friend told me about this as an alternative to Couch to 5K; I tried the N2R free trial and decided the annual subscription is worth every penny. It's like paying $3 a month for a professional-level coach in your pocket whenever you need. I like how it's relaxed ("Rest a day or two between workouts") rather than rigid (i.e. you MUST run on this M-W-F schedule) and is such a positive mix of flexibility within healthy structures. I couldn't run for 5m straight before starting this, but they literally have a "Run Ready" program to prepare you even at THAT level. The goal is to have a healthy relationship with running for your entire life, and they really understand the psychology behind that with how this whole app is designed. I like how every training has a PDF version if you just want a quick glance, and the videos are helpful for strengthening muscles throughout the week that help you run. You can also "run freely" or set custom intervals and still track it. I like how many links are shareable so I can inspire my mom and sister, too. There are blogs, a community, guidance, etc. so you literally have everything you need to make it work (for ANY personality). No excuses but yourself!! My only "critique" is I actually liked when the British lady's voice was leading each run; she had a very soothing nature, which felt extra inviting for someone who was new to running. I did the N2R program to start and was shocked at how the incremental gains actually *WORKED* for preparing me to be a runner. They seemed so small and invisible! If you follow the program consistently, you will get exactly what they say.
Easy to use but keeps you accountable to your goal. Very encouraging in each plan.
I just wanted to share that I was the kid in gym class who was always picked last. I was an honors student who somehow managed to get a D in gym because I truly disliked sports, especially running! Last year, at age 57, I had a health scare that made me realize I needed to completely overhaul my health. I had actually tried None 2 Run during COVID and quit around week four, so I was not sure I would succeed this time. But this time I stuck with it, and I still cannot believe that I completed all 12 weeks. I am now in better shape than I have ever been in my life, and several of my health issues have reversed. None 2 Run truly helped me change the trajectory of my health.
The program is still too fast and I can’t get past week four. I’ve tried several times and pretty much have had enough.
If you’re new to running this is a great app to use. It has a beginner plan that gets you running at your pace over about 12 wks and at the end you can run 20m straight. Then a 5K, 10k or 1/2 marathon plans. It makes it easy for anyone to start from wherever they are. None of the workouts have a speed limit so it doesn’t matter, and it challenges you. You might think you can’t do the new weeks workout but if you just slow down a bit you find that it is doable
Love this app and has helped me stay on track! I’ve started a running program 2 other times and it was too aggressive. This is a perfect app for starting out and building up to longer runs! Very easy to use - HIGHLY recommend!
