Grammarly’s latest update has significantly reduced the app’s usability for me. Previously, the free version allowed limited use per month, while keeping the core functionality intact. Premium features were paywalled, but basic rewriting/iteration remained accessible. With the current update, the restriction is no longer on features—but on usage itself. Limiting users to only a very few rewrites per day fundamentally breaks the workflow. Rewriting is an iterative process. It often takes multiple attempts to: • refine tone (formal, casual, etc.) • correct mistakes introduced by the AI • compare different phrasings By restricting the number of retries, you’re effectively limiting the ability to reach a usable result. There are also a few key issues that make this especially frustrating: • There is no visible counter showing how many rewrites are remaining • The AI can still produce errors, requiring additional retries • The daily cap is far more restrictive than the previous monthly model This change not only limits advanced usage—it prevents basic, practical use of the app. As a result, the free version is no longer viable for my needs. I cannot justify subscribing for what used to be a core function. I would strongly suggest reconsidering this model, particularly: • Restoring a monthly-based limit instead of a daily cap • Providing a clear usage counter • Ensuring that basic rewriting remains accessible in practice, not limited to just a few attempts per day before being locked behind a paywall Right now, the update feels like it penalizes active users rather than encouraging them to upgrade.
Ok
It's not available in German BUT and FAQ say it would be available in German. There are many 403 errors in the FAQ. I can't delete account. FAQ say I should go to Grammarly.com. But this website forwards me to the app, where I can't delete the account.
The word prediction when typing is often mediocre at best (and no fun to use.) Consequently, the suggested improvements are sometimes erratic and tend to harm semantics. Grammarlyʼs features also battle for space and attention in an already packed section of the iOS user interface.

Omfg this is a huuuuge privacy risk !!! Don’t download this app and defiantly don’t give them access to your keyboard !
Used to be really helpful. But it was more useful with its old layout (2022/23) and it just got more and more expensive that is definitely not worth it to pay regarding all other AI options you‘ve got nowadays. I am happy and willing to pay for this great tool but not that amount.
